Surely he is close to getting dropped. We need some quick starts in t20 cricket and Marsh is as slow as it comes...been a disaster since he has got back in the team. Hobart dropped Sangakarra and replaced him with McDermott and look what happened there!!

We need a hitter to open up that's for sure. Both our openers are slow starters in general. Marsh is to scared to get out and continues to hit the ball head high through the ring. Either commit to the shots or keep it on the ground.

Ashton Agar may be worth a go opening. He could do a lot of damage in the power play if he comes off and he wouldn't hang around and use up balls.

So far in the BBL Shaun has scored 8, 7, 4, 32, 8 and 8. 67 runs at an average of about 11 at a strike rate of around 80. He does tend to be a slow starter but if he bats for more than 50 balls he tends to accelerate quickly after that. Unfortunately he has been getting out well before that point in every innings so far. I think you are referring to last season in relation to the big partnerships with Klinger

Agar may be worth a go but on Saturday night he could barely put bat on ball. He wants to hit everything leg side and moves around too much at the crease. We need someone who will stand still and hit the ball through or over the off side. Is big Craig Simmons still around.

Simmons is on his last year of a 3 year deal with the Adelaide Strikers. Those three years were on the back of the fastest century in BBL history with the Scorchers!

Don't even think he is even getting a game now...

The decision to let Darcy Short and Marcus Harris go you have to really question also.

Harris left WA cricket on his own terms, not a lot could be done there. If short plays who misses out? His bowling isn't upto scratch yet at big bash level and he has hit one decent score

Who needs Short and Harris when WA has the Marsh boys?

Marsh is the sort of guy who could get on a roll and win the whole Big Bash for the Scorchers with an 80 ball century or two. There are no half measures with him. I have a funny feeling that he might do this down in Tasmania on Saturday.
