They have found a good one there, give the selectors credit as well as brick bats which most people are happy to hand out ( including myself  )

Mikeh I keep hearing the selectors saying horses for courses if that's the case S.Marsh will be first picked for the tour of India, he's made runs consistently in the sub continent while the likes of Usman Kwalaga was dropped in Sri Lanka, Marsh will be in the touring party.

You could be right Peter although it is very hard to make a judgement on Marsh as a test batsman simply because he can never string together many consecutive tests due to injury. Bailey may be also under consideration for India under the horses for courses policy.

Be disappointing if Renshaw doesn't get on the India tour....the kids temperament is what impresses me, keeps it simple and didn't get sucked in to go with Warner early on....to be like that at 20 is amazing TBH. Would make sense for the selectors to take a 3rd opener to India(eg: Marsh) as back up I guess?...all not lost for Marsh yet Mikeh! Though Bancroft did well on an A tour last year from memory and he is a dour batsman who would be a good foil for Warner if Renshaw struggles.

Gee that would be a massive call, the kid is in line for a double ton in one test and then dropped for the next one. Good luck to the selector who has to explain that. Surely it would be a better education for Renshaw to play in the cauldron of India than 5 shield games in front of a handful of people. He has already demonstrated that his temperament is up to the pressure.
