It is amazing that so many on here who support a monarchy think that there is not a single Aussie who is suitable to be our head of state. Instead they prefer a foreigner WHOSE ONLY QUALIFICATION, in case of the current monarch, is the FIRST BORN of two sisters. What a damning indictment.

Changing to an AUSTRAIAN head of state WOULD HAV NO adverse affect on the stability of the Australian democracy but would show to the rest of the world we have finally grown up and don't need a foreign head of state. For those who support a foreign head of state: perhaps we should bring back the Privy Council as well.

One thing is certain. Voting Liberal in has done sweet fanny Adams for the economy, jobs growth and consumer confidence. The only thing they did which they said they were going to do was stop the boats.

DD MT is not a career pollie, he made his own way in the world and was a very successful business man, self made ...... but he ain't setting the world on fire as a pollie. Any leader on either side of politics is hogtied by being beholden to factions/groups within their parties, Turnbull to the far right and Shortarse to the pinko unions and/or the treehuggers.

Yeah things are going slowly but So far the election of Trump has made a significant improvement to my Superannuation via the stock market.
