They are an amazing club BH. 31 play offs in a row, that is a record that would be unprecedented anywhere in the world I would imagine. A totally professional organisation from the owner through the management to the players and support staff. Fingers crossed they can wrap it up next game so they don't have to go back to Illawarra for a game 4

I thought dominance was a bad thing according to you guys. The wildcats can't be allowed to continue to dominate, they are destroying the NBL. Who are they going to play in a few years when the league goes under? Themselves?

Apologies for the apparent inconsistency in our arguments Outer. Probably not great in the long run for the NBL I imagine. There have been a lot of clubs that have gone under for sure.

Even the dominate Perth Wildcats have won less flags than $ubiaco over the last 31 years!

I must admit Trevor Gleeson knows a lot more than we do about basketball. He obviously knew the team balance wasn't right, he needed a play maker who can also score and their patience paid dividends in spades with Bryce Cotton. He's fitted in as well as anyone could expect and the big winners have been captain Damian Martin and Casey Prather who have both found their best form.

Little over a month ago Prather was way out of form but now he's odds on to be the GF MVP.

It does make a big difference when you have the $$$ to be able to not only put together a roster capable of winning championships but also the facilities and support staff to be the complete package. Having said that to lose two championship winning big men and boldly cut a play maker from the roster and long injury stints to Damian Martin and Matt Knight and the earlier import hiccups it's been a remarkable transformation and if they go on to win it probably goes down as one of their greatest achievements.

But before any Subi supporters try to make comparisons, there is plenty of coin in the eastern states that have put together superstar rosters and the Wildcats have had to play second fiddle to them. Clubs like the Adelaide 36ers, Sydney Kings and New Zealand Breakers to name a few.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Another championship win to the mighty Perth Wildcats who have come from being last on the ladder 10 weeks ago to sweeping the best of 5 grand final series 3-0.
Recruiting Bryce Cotton was the turning point in the season and he nailed 45 points today on his way to winning the GF MVP.

A great effort coming from where they were a few weeks ago.
Qualified for playoffs 31 consecutive years and 8 championships.
The Wildcats must surely rank as one of the top, if not the top club of all time, of all sports worldwide.

Do you remember the day Calvin Bruton was signed from Brisbane - I reckon that & the later signing of James Crawford from Sydney set up this Club as a professional unit

Great record ever since , the early battles with the Brisbane Bullets & Brian Kerle were amazing

The reason behind that BH is clearly simple mate....less whinging from other teams within the same comp as the Wildcats about any disparity....clearly just follow suit and do what one must to be successful.....buy beg borrow and steal!...well done to Johnson for making way for Cotton.....ring winning decision by the Wildcat management in the end. :cheer:

Mikeh what makes you think Heater is Outer?....sounds like a pretty passionate WAFL fan to me?....maybe you and Swandog are one in the same mate........with mikeh being Dr Jekyl and Swandog being Mr Hyde!!
