Good topic Grassy.Looking like a real tough year for the Wildcats, going from bad to worse.A real challenge for the club to be under seige like this.Very unfamilar territory for the Wildcats.

As Ross Lyon would say, we are where we deserve to be. Their championship winning roster took a massive hit in the off-season. The only loss from that team I can understand is Nate Jaiwai returning home to Cairns where his family is but to tell Jermain Beale he is not required because they want a different style or team balance I can't cop that one and after losing The big unit they could ill afford to lose big Tommy Jervis. 7 footers don't grow on trees and he was a local. And we know how injury prone Matt Knight is.

And while Shawn Redhage has been a champion and a stalwart blind Freddy can see he is well passed it. Since losing Damian Martin again to a long term injury it highlights what a silly decision it was to cut Jermain Beale.

They are where they deserve to be and cutting Jarryn Johnson a second time after busting his guts for the team doesn't sit well with me.

Hope he finds a spot on another roster and sticks it right up'em.
Get on your bike.

Not a big follower of the mens basketball. But have been following the WNBL for quite a few years. And the old West Coast Waves had been the easy-beats of the competition for many years. These days have been renamed the Lynx and apparently play under the Wildcats banner. Great to see the team travelling along alright currently and in third pozzy on the league ladder. They've won 9 and lost 5, thus far. One would think they'd get over the line against Sydney this coming week.
Prefer the women's competition because IMO it's better. I take an interest in the mens but not as much.

They are an amazing club BH. 31 play offs in a row, that is a record that would be unprecedented anywhere in the world I would imagine. A totally professional organisation from the owner through the management to the players and support staff. Fingers crossed they can wrap it up next game so they don't have to go back to Illawarra for a game 4

Quite incredibly Mike the score in both finals so far has been 89-77 in the Wildcats favour.
I believe the 31 seasons in a row of finals is a record not matched anywhere in the world in a national competition?

Wonder what the odds are of the same score in the 3rd game? Wouldn't that be amazing?

I thought dominance was a bad thing according to you guys. The wildcats can't be allowed to continue to dominate, they are destroying the NBL. Who are they going to play in a few years when the league goes under? Themselves?

Apologies for the apparent inconsistency in our arguments Outer. Probably not great in the long run for the NBL I imagine. There have been a lot of clubs that have gone under for sure.
