Not sure if "fixturing" is a word but.....bloody stupid fixturing from the WAFL. Makes it tough for both the Tigers and Swans to have a good win in round one then a week off then shape up for week two.

Why is there only two games this week?

Also strange why we have one game at home, a bye and then three games away.

Take a look at the fixturing for the dees.

I think our first 5 games are at home and then none till later in the year.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

Not sure what its like for other clubs, but take a look at the strange fisturing for Swan DIstricts.
They played EF in round 1. The next time they play each other is round 23.
In between that, they play Perth 3 times in 12 rounds, including 2 times in 5 weeks, The play Peel in round 19, have a bye in round 20, then play Peel again in round 21.
Swans play Subiaco in round 10, and then round 13.
The Anzac Day game against WP comes 4 days after the play a Sunday match against Peel.
Then again, East Perth have 2 byes in a rowm, in rounds 16 and 17.
Cant see why its so hard to fixture the games without this sort of stuff up. Surely the first thing to do is organise the byes, then work out the games from there.

Yeah I agree SURELY it can't be that hard. I really wonder sometimes who the hell works at the WAFC and is charge of all things WAFL. The promotion of the comp is piss poor, there never seems to be any fresh ideas or innovation of any kind.

Whilst I agree that the set of fixtures drawn up for the 2013 are bizarre to say the least; in the case of round 2 it is sensible to keep the number of matches to the minimum against the devils incarnate derby fixture.

The obvious reason why the fixtures is a mess is because of the introduction of Peel into the competition.
