I have a few rellies in Boston, Grassy, so I take a bit of an interest in the Red Sox, would have loved to get to Fenway Park but didn't manage it in 2 visits. I was watching game 3 on ESPN this morning and they lost 4-3 which was the end of their season and the end of Oritz's career. What an icon he has been. He will eventually have a statue outside Fenway without doubt.

Loved the movie Major League with the shitty Cleveland Indians but as a Chicago Bears fan will have to stay with the windy city and hope they do a Footscray.

I always wondered grassy how they can call it a "World Series" when it only involves one country's domestic competition....that's the yanks for you.

I guess BC with so many different ethnicities playing in the MLB, I guess one could acknowlege the "World" terminology being used ......dont forget Canada has a team too BC....The Blue Jays.....so not all US domestic.....

Well done to the Cubs....108 yrs between drinks.....reckon the fans will be drinking hard in celebration for a while.......hopefully not 108 years time while though.

yes mate. I was in Toronto in October 1992 when they won a World Series playoff game at the Skydome. I was parked in a bar called Eastside Mario's just up the road when they won the game and all hell broke loose. One minute the bar was empty then the next you couldn't move.
