WTF? Lachie Neale breaks the possession record for an AFL season and doesn't crack the All Australian team. Can't believe it, especially when you see some of the players who actually got picked, Selwood and Rioli obviously picked on reputation rather than performance. Another example of the Eastern states focus of these jokers. If Lachie played for Collingwood and had a similar season he would have been the first picked.

Not sure I agree with you on that one mikeh. Must admit I haven't seen as much of Fremantle this year due to work but from what I've seen and heard he's been turning it over a bit. My theory on that is being a midfielder in a side that only won 4 games for the season and so many injuries to key players and so many new faces each week, winning the ball is one thing but having good options once you've got it is another.

I think in years to come we will see him getting less possessions but being more effective with them. I think there is a few AA guernseys in him to come.

I won't be too sarcastic and say you aren't surprised surely mikeh? I think it was Medhurst that received an AA at Collingwood but not one at Freo where the years statistics for him were very similar.

I will point out that there is only one legend in the AFL Hall of Fame that did not have any association with the VFL/AFL. To pick just one example from our club Swans, does anyone think that Billy Walker should not be a legend in the AFL Hall of Fame?

AA is just another thing to keep players from the past in the public eye, as selectors , just a Borefest

I'ts a very good side & as expected bottom sides dont deserve players. North, Carlton, St Kilda , Collingwood, Fremantle, Brisbane & Essendon were poor & did not deserve players. It only rewards good players in good sides. NOT fair players in mediocre sides.. Get over it. Good to see McGovern earn his spot..

What a load of crap AA is for the best players in there positions if we go by you're premise Gary Ablett shouldn't gain selection because he plays for a bottom side.

When you know the only thing a player can boast about is how many AA selections they got you know they aint that great...whole things a bit of a farce.
