Well the end is finally here, he's carried the club and been a magnificent captain and shown tremendous loyalty with offers to leave coming in yearly over his journey.

I'll be at Subi today to watch you hopefully get the send off you deserve and kick your 700th goal, it will also be the start of a new chapter for Freo with a few others playing their last game today , well done champ.

Well said PN his loyalty is something that is rare these days, as you said he received massive offers from the Crows to move back home but resisted. Wish him well today and in the future.

Yes ditto from me. He is without doubt the best Freo player since their inception and will be remembered as a legend of the game. 353 games with all that travel is an amazing achievement

Champion bloke on and off the field. Well done Pav! Will be sorely missed by the Freo faithful. Good luck in retirement.

Well done to Pav.All Australian player as Defender,Midfielder and Forward.353 games and still a champion.Sorry the boys couldnt win that GF a few years back and give Pav a flag..A career Freo player who could not be bought and stayed loyal to Freo. That just shows you the type of bloke he is.To his Freo teammates (play your hearts out today)

Well done on the players for sending Pav out with a win should of kicked four himself shots that are usually sodas for him, on a side note you get a perspective of how good Bontempelli is watching him live gun.

I was able to get some tickets so went along. First game I have been to at Domain all year. It was a great atmosphere from start to finish, Freo put in a great 4 quarter defensive effort in tribute to their champion. To hold a top 8 team to less than 60 points was outstanding. They did butcher a lot of scoring chances with poor disposal but for once it didn't matter today. Neale had heaps of support for a change including a season best game from Danyle Pearce.
After the game there was a lap of honour, interview and chairing off. Respect to the Doggies players for staying around and forming a guard.
A real feel good end to a dark season for Freo fans.
Based on todays effort, I don't think the Eagles have too much to worry about in a fortnight unless they get complacent!
