Insipid. Almost every wicket to appalling shots.

Freeze I believe South Africa and Pakistan are the 2 Test countries coming out here this Summer?
Both of those countries have outstanding bowlers who will be licking their lips at the prospect of bowling to our useless incompetent batting line up.

We just lost all 10 wickets in under an hour and a half!
As insipid as that pathetic effort in England last year were we barely lasted past the first hour before being dismissed on the first morning of the Test. :pinch:
The Don would be turning in his grave at this mob of over paid poor excuse for Test and or Domestic Batsmen!

so that is the first time that Australia has lost every test since 1982 -- but at least the opposition contained Qadir, Miandad and Imran Khan, genuinelly great cricketers. As BH has pointted out, this is a reasonablly weak Sri Lanka side, some of its stars having recentlly retirred.

I have not seen the Neville incident, but it sounds a bit dodgy from what Hogg has just said on the wireless. The thing is once the bails are gone, the umpire has little choice in the matter. Tony Greig mankaded Kalicharran in 1972, and, the umpire catigorically refussed to re-instate him.

I have said previously that Dave Warner is NOT a test batsman. He is a BASH artist suitable only for 20/20 & ODI's. He has no sound defensive play & practically all ball can be frours or sixes. Give him $10 a four or six & deduct $50 each time he miss reads the flight. He would go broke once outside the WACA, Gabba or MCG. About we filled the team with private school kids. Gladly I dont watch or listen to the crap any more.

Only Starc has come out of this tour with his reputation enhanced. He is without doubt the worlds best bowler at the moment. Here are my thoughts on the others who played

Warner- Failed to convert scores of 40 - 60's into tons. Cannot adapt his game to varying circumstances
Sean Marsh- took advantage of his opportunity and showed the other batsmen how to build an innings
Burns - All at sea
Khawaja - not a great first 2 tests and then was dropped for the third
Smith - Batting was OK, boosted by his century in the last test. Captaincy faltered under pressure
Voges - disappointing effort, his place may be vulnerable to young players like Head and Lynn
Henriques - Joke selection
Mitch Marsh- did a few good things with bat and ball but lacks consistency and must be testing the selectors patience
Nevill - poor batting, adequate glovework. Sam Whiteman has a chance if he can start the season well.
Lyon - not good, but never had enough runs to bowl at due to the incompetence of the batting. Has built up credits from prebvious performances
Hazelwood -steady without being threatening
O'Keefe - showed promise before tearing his hamstring.
Holland - Sri Lankan batsmen were licking their lips with this guy. Not up to it from this evidence. Fawad Ahmed or Adam Zampa would have been better options.

Did I miss anyone?

You only missed the selectors Mike who must also come under fire.
Jackson Bird was also on the tour but only to carry the drinks.
Where are James Pattinson & Pat Cummins at with their respective back problems I wonder?

Gee Jackson Bird would have been worth a go surely? Unlike Henriques he would have bowled and he might have scored a few more runs than Moises as well :S

Cummins is on track for the start of the Australian season. Not sure where Pattinson is at since he injured himself in NZ in March.
