Great news that the site will continue and I would support a stricter regime of what is and isn't acceptable. No more unsubstantiated claims/comments about clubs or individuals would be a good starting point for all and sundry. Getting back to a pure footy site would be something wouldn't it? But also encourage clever humorous banter that's not personal and a clean up of the language used by some especially the F & C bombs which are unacceptable in any public forum.

Fantastic to read the update on the front page.
Have noticed for some time now that the 7 Wafl clubs have not re-instated their forum pages on the clubs sites. And the two previous forums that have fallen by the by. Would have been a shame had we lost this too.

What a relief. I've been overseas for the past 2 weeks meeting the father of the bride to be, unable to log in as expected but keeping an eye on things. 2 days ago from afar the site appeared to be off line and I'd given up thinking it was over. Upon waking up this morning back on in Oz I see the site has a future. Great news for us WAFL footy mad peeps and for WAFL footy in general too. Thanks to the previous owners and my gratitude to whoever has come on board as the new owner(s). I'll even pledge to keep the language and banter more clean....hope all members can follow the same lead and look forward to talking WAFL footy with all in future.

and for those interested the old man gave us his blessing....happy days

i have been off the scene a few months and logged in yesterday to see this topic, at almost the same time Telstra decided to have a 6 hour outage in our are with Internet etc - I thought I had logged in rtight on the demise of OzFooty

If what I have read since is that it survives, it is not only up to the Moderators keep law & order and decorum here, it is also up to the Posters to remain from language and THINK BEFORE YOU POST

Cheers BH......already in the process of signing the lady up as a SDFC member....it was my one non negotiable that she follow swans in the WAFL...chose Geelong already in the AFL so no damage there

sorry BH...... gain one, lose one sadly.....I have convinced my youngest to jump ship supporting the SDFC and signed him up as a paid member of the EFFC......he didn't appreciate SD fans in Swandog and Grassroots calling his old man a troll ......
