Wonder if the so called Wafl will still use the good old Burley ball from this season and onwards? Or will they will be 'encouraged' by big business to use the other brand? If Burley is given the flick, I would imagine there's more people that will lose their job!?

Just came across this article. Dated early 2012.
Burley remains ball of choice
The Football Commission has signed a new three-year deal with Burley as the officially endorsed supplier of footballs to all WA competitions. The partnership will see Burley footballs used for the first time across all competitions including the WAFL, WA Country Football League, WA Amateur Football League, WA Women’s Football League, all junior competitions and by WAFC District Development staff.
Burley footballs have a history dating back to 1907, when the ball was first used in a WAFL league match between East Fremantle and West Perth.
Burley footballs are also used exclusively in the Foxtel Cup and the company has been a major player in the recent surge in Women's football, developing a ball designed specifically for female players.
