Any chance of Agar for a call up? Can't be any worse than the "best" Aussie spinners we currently have. Hope not...WA with a chance in the shield comp.

The pitch is a disgrace, there is no doubt about that but our spinner(s) need to bowl fuller and slower - like the Indians do. They bowl too many darts. Lyon has got faster and flatter the longer he's been in Test cricket. He got selected in the first place because he was a flighter.

Good effort on debut by Henriques to score a 50 in both innings, the first Aussie to do so since Bruce 'Stumpy' Laird vs the WI in Brisbane over 30 years ago.
Nathan Lyon is an honest toiler but he will never trouble the Indian batsmen on the sub continent until he develops a doosra IMHO!

How in the hell he and Malinga's bowling actions were ever declared legal is beyond a joke. Murali flicks it out of the back of his hand with the force of a bent arm (that's how he gets so much pace)and Malinga has the most side armed action i've ever seen. Looks like a 4 year old throwing a ball.
