I personally think that is it after today. He may have got a wicket but the last few games he seems to be going for a bit. While turner got 1/2 off 1 and nothing after that. No wonder they lost just bowling him cause he is a crowd favourite. He wasn't the only one but certainly didn't help

They lost because there batting was putrid.

Yes that may be the case but I'm saying I think he is done. After the first game or 2 he hasn't done much. When agar and turner bowled 1 economical over each and you have a 40 plus bloke bowling 4 shit ones it doesn't add up

I think they got it all wrong from the team selection to poor bowling choices and appalling batting. I almost got the sense that they were taking the Stars lightly and they paid the price big time. Dropping a batsman when Scorchers have four number 11s was a bad move. Throwing a young kid in when Turner and Agar could have done the job as the 5th bowler, Nobody had the game awareness to stay with Voges when he could have got them to 109 and a home final. The only positive is that they have a chance to avenge this defeat against the same team next week. As for Hoggy, I think he bowled OK but there were a few half trackers that were dispatched. I was more disappointed that he didn't try and stick with Voges, going for the glory shot.

The leg spinners are having a belter season in BBL5.Hoggy is the original from BBL1 who has played 4 good seasons. There is a clear stragedy from Scorcher opponent's to now target Hoggy. This has to be Hoggy last year,we all love him and hes now on radio. So we will all still hearhim or see him.
Point of interest. The Bbl is only a 7game season. The teams want 10 matches +Finals from next year.Short season but now the 8th largest spectator sport in the world on average attandances. ..

I reckon it is about right now, if they go to 10 games each they over cook it and know one likes overcooked KFC :P But I think as the BBL has gone deeper there is a certain sameness about each game which doesn't have a lot of intrigue, it is weighted far too heavily towards batsmen, unfortunately exquisite swing and seam bowling displays like what was on display to dismantle the Scorchers are a rarity, I was rooting for Worrell and Hilfy TBH being an old swing bowler myself. Don't blame poor batting, it was the bowling of those two guys that handed the Scorchers their asses. I`m with Grassman, hurry up the Shield. Looking forward to seeing more of Worrell, a good old fashioned swing bowler cut from a Bob Massie/Terrence Alderman cloth
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Hoggie must be pensioned off. Last couple of games counted but he failed to deliver. How come Worrell got picked by Stars as a backup . Batted well & bowled tight + he holds catches. A player of the future.

Where's Muirhead these days? Isn't he on the Scorchers list? Great to see young Jhye Richardson get a bowl the other night too, pretty skinny but bowled with a bit of zip.
