Quite happy with Freos fixtures for next year apart from the mandatory Hawks in Tassie part.

Hmmm, one game for the whole season at the MCG where the Grand Final is played. 10 away games played at 8 different grounds in 6 different states and territories. 2 trips to Queensland. Can you imagine if a Victorian club had been given that sort of a draw, they would be screaming like scalded pigs. What a joke, the AFL have no idea.

Yeah whatever. I'm not a Dockers supporter but I think there should be some allowance as to the amount of travel they and the Eagles have to do during the season. Apparently not.

You may be right Mike, but what do they do? Most of the teams reside on the east coast. Both WA teams get their fair share of home games, but they both should get more than 1 game a year on the MCG. I'd like to see the colliwwobblers having to travel more to even things up, but money is more important than "sport" to the AFL heads.

And you're right swandog, if you want to make statements like "anywhere, anytime" then don't whinge.

Probably if they the Dockers were able to play Hawthorn and Melbourne on the MCG instead of in Tasmania and Darwin respectively it would be a fair draw as that would mean Freo would have three games at the G next year. I think these games in Darwin and Tasmania could be shared a bit around the teams so that some years they are between 2 Melbourne teams rather than having non Victorian teams play at these venues every year.

Yeah but who is whinging 58 , Mikeh has already said he doesn't support Freo and i havnt seen an official statement from the FFC or Lyon.

Once the new stadium is built no reason why a home GF shouldnt be played their, the deal the AFL have with the MCG can GAGF.

Mate it's not all about the Vics I'm sure 60k Freo and WC supporters wouldn't give a shit and btw the Melbourne cup is a crap anology has the VCR amalgamated with all the other states of Australia has it? so why would there be a reason to have the cup in any other state.
