I await with interest whether people like 58S will make comments about blood on MT's hands similar to the ones they made about Bill Shorten? Who are the faceless assassins of the Liberal Party?

Abbott has to stay.his stance on marriage equality has my support

R/dog I hope you have backed AT each way because he should finish second in this election.

second is ok with me,as long as he sticks to his gunns.i will then know where my vote will go next time...and i will let my local member from swan know

How bitter and twisted is Paul Murray (Sky News) about the dumping of T Abbott?

BC it might come as no surprise that I am hoping that T Abbott is returned as the Liberal leader. If MT does win then I hope that:

P Dutton, S Morrison, M Corman et al enjoy their time on the backbench.

BC the problem with your choice of MT is that he isn't liked by his colleagues and if he does become PM then you can rest assured that the following will occur:

(i) the NBN will be changed to FTTN;
(ii) the number of refugees taken by Australia will be increased;
(iii) the ETS is back on the agenda,
(iv) the republic debate is back on the agenda;
(v) there will be an conscience vote on gay marriage;
(vi) there will be a general election within the next three months;
(vii) T Abbott will be resigning from the House of Reps in the next week;
(v) Julie Bishop will be the Deputy PM under M Turnbull.

Why hasn't C Pyne, A Robb etc publicly supporting T Abbott?

I disagree with most of the above 42...MT must have made a deal with the middle and right inside the party to get the numbers to roll Abbott. I would think that deal would be to tow the current party line on the first five you've listed until after the next election. Points 6 and 7 are possibilities and point 8 has happened as we know.

Yep BC pretty obvious that was the deal.

The person praying the most for TA to hang on last night was Billy boy.

agree bazza...shorten curley is a dead man walking. fortunately for him Krudd introduced rules into Labor before he left which makes it virtully impossible for Shorten to get rolled before an election is held otherwise i would think he'd get the elbow as well.
