In terms of longest it's hard to go past John Duckworth, even the crowd roared every time he kicked it.

Can remember John Quartermaine and Cabes being pretty damn good at the droppy. Unfortunately never saw Sarre but he sounds awesome! Had a junior coach who insisted we all do circle work using the drop kick in the 70's even tho it was basically disappearing from the game at that time.

Alan Prosser EF HBF either foot was worth watching, and David Hollands.

Barry Cable was superbly balanced when he let one go.

Demon forever, baseline , TFAF (1977) smoker and paul, who do you think is the best drop kicks to come out of Lathlain. I would say Cable for sure. Saturday afternoon down at Lathlain, the smell of the old mill near the train tracks and Cable letting them go from the middle. :woohoo: : :woohoo:

Barry Cable was a pure joy to watch. Brilliant skills.
EJ Whitten had a copybook kicking style.

BTB the side of the sixties were the best brop kicking team that have come out the PFC IMHO.

Their were a host of skillful players.

Drop kicks (best - not the longest), Barry Cable, Greg Brehaut, Pat Dalton, Graham Jenzen, Graham Ramshaw, Bob Shields, Ross Milson, Billy Vaughan.

They all had great drop kicks and were very skillful.

I'm sure someone will want to debate that.

Steve Hargraves. Got sick of standing on his mark and getting the roof of my mouth sunburnt watching the ball go over my head!

Best long drop kick in my opinion was Brian Sarre followed closely by Graham Ramshaw and John Quartermaine.
The most accurate and classiest drop kick for me was Barry Cable, on the run and under pressure.
The full backs did have the advantage of kicking out from the goal square.
