The last couple of rounds have seen the ladder starting to take shape as the finals edge closer. Peel, Subi and EP have emerged as the main contenders. It's been really encouraging to see the improvement at Peel. Can't wait for the finals.

I'm guessing it will be a quiet time at Oz Footy this week with SD, SF and WP all losing.

I encourage fans of the clubs not competing in the finals to get behind Peel.

Let's start with the sublime. Why will there be a quiet time at Oz Footy this week? Swans' supporters have both their Colts' and Reserves' team in the finals. Now for the ridiculous. How has the Peel footy club improved? Have a look at where their reserves' team is on the ladder. By my calculations the last week end of the AFL is the first week of the WAFL finals. If R Lyon decides to rest 10 or so players in their last round, what sort of team will "Peel" field for their final in the WAFL?

For the record, which WAFL club do you support?

Why most of us think they're a joke.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

Love your optimism RD ;) .....I have no doubt 42 and BH will be hoping that Blakely, Hughes and Pearce have cracking finals series if Peel make it......still a few games to go tho......lots to play for.....still reckon it should be a top 4 tho....having a top 5 only rewards mediocrity I guess......

Freezin by my reckoning the WAFL finals start the same week as the last qualifying round of the AFL. If Freo's position is set in stone before that round how many players do you think Freo will rest for that weekend and what do you think of "Peel's" chances of winning the WAFL final on the same weekend?

I can't wait to see how G Walton will rationalise that one.
