Yeah mate that Anderson was wholly responsible for the AFL's pathetic drugs policy & now it has come home to roost with this latest scandal ..fair dinkum they have a whole League of druggies running around in that comp because they made it all too easy to get away with ..even the WAFL has a tougher drugs policy than the supposed 'top league'!!

1) Port power salary cap
2) Melbourne tanking
3) Drug summit
4) And NOW Essendon dopping Scandal

I thought it come in three's but no
The AFL is now in disrepute
Maybe we will get people going back to the WAFL, SANFL and VFL

Let's hope this is the downfall of the AFL, and get back to real Aussie Rules

Look what happen to Swans Travis Casserly... Rubbed for two years, and the AFL endorsed the ban as he was looking for a spot with Richmond.

If as being reported in the media is true, and the AFL do not need to make it public that a player has been taking drugs, to only give them a rest with an excuse, then they should be ashamed of themselves.

Even if Essendon are disqualified by the anti dopping mob, the AFL will only elevate VFL club Bendigo Bombers for a season or two with clean Essendon players on the list - worst case! It will still be the Bombers.

Lets face it, nothing will happen - its the AFL.

Persoanlly I hope they throw the book at them, Essendon have always been a bunch of wankers and James Hird is the most up himself tosser in the game, what a classic it would be to see the so called golden boy in the slammer.

Im not so sure... as i said it "may" well be out of the AFL's hands. Sure they are powerful BUT im not sure if even they can over rule national/international drug laws if it comes to that. Perhaps i am drawing a long bow, but look what the outcome of a "sporting hero" in Armstrong. No stone was left unturened in the end, and im sure their was pressure to bear to leave him (Armstron) with some dignity, given his profile. The eyes of the world is now very very focussed on any sort of drug cheating...bad time to be caught.

FFS now its come out that wingnut Hird has been involved in his playing days with a convicted drug trafficker . He may have been a champion player and the Essendon golden boy but at the moment he is a liar and has shite all over him . Good luck wingnut i reckon you will need it , the afl should hang these cheating dogs good and proper - Hird included , you cant hide behind the golden boy image anymore Jimmy boy ... BUSTED BOY .

No sour grapes mate i dont even follow the Eagles , Essendon were quick to jump on the wagon in regards to the Eagles and now look at the cheats .Also sounds like the Bombers may also not have been squeaky clean way back when . Your a Dorker of cause you will put sh1t on the Eagles .

the only people that got stuck into the Eagles were the media and fans of other clubs..every other AFL club kept their mouth shut and said thank god its not us as they knew theat it could happen to them at some stage, since then plenty of clubs have had a scandal of some sort..
