Thought i would start a thread on anything fishing, caught myself a bag limit of Blue Manna Crabs at the Ammo Jetty this morning, a nice feed of Chilli crabs coming up tonight.

We got 20 big ones in the estuary on the weekend in 42 mins. 3 in a pot at times, 2 pulls done. We threw back over 10 size ones. Ruined a planned couple of hours with the kids.

Heavy buggers too full of meat.

They are good on the chew TF, wouldn't mind getting into some of the Swan River specimens they are huge in there, anywhere from 15cm to 18cm across the carapace is the average.

Yeah never had a crack in the Swan.
Our biggest on the weekend was 59cm from claw to claw and plenty over 50cm.

Plenty of them too, even Leedy was catching them.

Geez I'd love to know where they are biting. Been a miserable school holidays fishing with the kids off the rocks at Hillarys marina. Sounds like the go is further south.

Now the poor old wafl has been sold down the river, I'll bring the fishing gear out a little later and that will be my weekend release. Millions of places to throw a fishing line in the water. A mixed bag with the crabbing from what I hear, some people manage a good feed whilst others go home disappointed.
