Look well done freo, first half was very good and a well deserved victory. I smsd a mate pre half time and said whoever ump No 7 is, he may as well put on a Freo jumper, then i read the following below in the comments section of perth now,so i wasnt alone in my thoughts.

What a disgraceful display of umpiring especially from West Australian Ump Dalgleish #7. On top of that, two of the worst video goal ump calls go against swans. How to ruin a great game!!!!!! Freo were great in first half and swans in second. Five of Freos first half goals were directly from soft free kicks.

The one to Fyffe when i thought he was holding the swans bloke was just amazing, ya look at Fyffes face and he half thought it was against him too!!.

You support Geelong don't you Unka2 so you shouldn't be too surprised with home ground umpiring decisions.

How did Lachie Neale go swan? I trust he backed up his performance of last week..

3 home games at the cattery for us this year

Gold Coast 15 for 13 against

Freo 26 for 15 against

Roos ( today ) 28 for 12 against.

My maths says 3 games this year the total is 40 for the Cats 69 against!!.. almost 30 frees discrepency.

I did well well done and well deserved freo A/man, i just mentioned the umps as a by product.It was a very top and intense game

I see it is okay if players are criticised for a poor performance. It is okay for coaches to be criticised for a poor performance. Howver, it is unacceptable for umpires to be criticised if they perform poorly. And that is very much the crux of the problem; the umpires are answerable to no-one.

Just an example of how poor some of the umpires are I will give an example from the game West Perth versus Swans, A 50 metre penalty was awarded to a West Perth player about 5 or so metres beyond the 50 metre arc. Whether it was a 50 metre penalty was a moot point. If it was 55 metres from goals a 50 metre penalty would take you to 5 metres from the goal line. Not according to the umpire in question who managed to determine that it should be about 15 metres out. What chance have you got when they can't even get such a simple thing like that correct.

Bit of payback in a jocular way a/man, bout how wa teams are screwed by the (a) VFL, as you call it, but forget when it goes the other way

I must say, watching the first half by Freo and the way they smashed the swans made me feel a HELL of a lot better about the derby haha.
