Interesting article in today's West. One locally produced Peel player in Round 4; 15 Fremantle Dockers and 4 AFL recruits. Under what circumstance can anyone construe that this team is a Peel team?

Could someone also explain how the above can be compatible with the raison d'etre for their existence which was to provide a pathway for local players?

According to the article Ditchburn stated that there were more than a dozen Peel products played in the WAFL last week including Rudy Riddoch. If one checks the Budget the club quoted against Rudy Riddoch is Bassendean JFC.

Surely it is time for Peel to change their jumpers to the Dockers and remove themselves from this charade.

Great effort from the Tigers today against a "side" that had just the 1 local product in it's ranks

This is a dubious distinction that no other "club" in the history of our league can lay claim to

A complete sham & fraud operation

What do you call a local player Southerner.I see it as Someone from the suburb or area that your clubs name says it represents . I said this before Peel has probably the most defined area in the Wafl and everyone in the Peel area knows who their club is and all of Peels colts and ressys are from the Peel district that would be three times more than any other Wafl club. How many Claremont players lived in Claremont probably none and which is Claremont's area hardly anyone knows. Same for South Freo and most of the other clubs they don't have an identity in their area as they don't really represent an area the clubs are basically just names. Peel Thunder have a real identity and represent a real area unlike the other Wafl clubs regardless of who play for them.

If you got real Bolter, you might get some credibility.

In terms of LEAGUE football, and lets face it this is why we follow the WAFL competition predominantly, Peel have absolutely no identity. To actually state otherwise is beyond laughable.

I agree with Swan42, change Peel to the Dockers, enough of this bulldust.

and lets face it, its only a matter of time before Freo do something about their players travelling to Mandurah. Once they are up & running at Cockburn, they will probably play out of there.

Besides I don't think I have ever seen anything resembling a crowd at a Peel game. I see more people next door at the netball down there. That isn't a flippant comment, they literally have more atmosphere at those courts than anything Ive seen at Rushton Park.
