I would guess Fyfe has 5 votes thus far, with Pearce getting the 3 last week.

Freo looked so damn sharp. SCARILY sharp. All the extra running etc that Lyon claimed they were doing over the preseason seems to have paid off thus far, granted it is only round 2.

I am extremely worried for WCE this week :(

Its only round2 but I honestly think Fremantle can win the flag this year. They can match it with any side with their style. They made Geelong look very inept. They will have off days, just look at Hawthorn yesterday, but overall Freo are very good and will probably finish top two I think. Baring injuries they can go all the way.

Fyfe could be the best player in the AFL, I don't know how anyone can stop him. He is so aerobic and precise. His only flaw if there is one is his kicking for goal at times.

Cant see the Eagles getting near them next week. I think WC are a few years behind the Dockers at the minute.

reckon Josh Kennedy in a Freo jumper would be the icing on the cake for the Dockers and their quest for a flag.......

Freezin, while I agree Kennedy has the ability to be a great player, correct me if im wrong but he has never kicked a bag against a good side. Yes he has kicked 3 bags of 10+ goals but from memory those sides have all been struggling

Until he does that regularly, kicks 4 or 5 a week against the top sides ill still have doubts as to how good he could be and if he is a genuine champion player

Just my opinion, but Like I said no doubting he can play

true PH.....but I reckon Freo's midfielders in Fyfe, Barlow, Mundy, Neale etc would give the fella better chance to kick a bag v quality sides than what Masten, Priddis, Shuey etc would.....I reckon with what delivery he gets ATM he does pretty well TBH.....

he is no Reiwoldt, Carey, Franklin, Dunstall, Lockett etc that's for sure, but definitely with what's available in front of him, giving him the footy most match days, he more than punches above his weight.....with better midifelders & delivery, the guy would definitely kick those regular 5 fors and double figure tallys you are searching for.....

He gets enough of it Freezin, here are the stats from last year, he just doesn't kick enough against the top teams,

11 goals against the top 8 teams over the year and 22 goals against the three bottom teams over 5 games, Surely his chances don't dry up that much do they?

JOSH KENNEDY AGAINST TOP-EIGHT OPPOSITION IN 2014
Sydney: 2 goals (Round 16)
Hawthorn: N/A
Geelong: 1 goal (Round 4)
Fremantle: 1 goal (Round 7)
Fremantle: 2 goals (Round 15)
Port Adelaide: 1 goal (Round 5)
North Melbourne: 0 goals (Round 11)
Essendon: 3 goals (Round 21)
Richmond: 1 goal (Round 18)
JOSH KENNEDY AGAINST BOTTOM-FOUR OPPOSITION IN 2014
Brisbane: N/A
GWS: 11 goals (Round 8)
Melbourne: 4 goals (Round 2)
Melbourne: 4 goals (Round 22)
St Kilda: 2 goals (Round 3)
St Kilda: 1 goal (Round 14)

I think it has more to do with the eagles midfield. They don't dominate as much against the better teams, and therefore Kennedy doesn't get the supply. I think that has more to do with it than anything. Kennedy is a very clever forward and generally a good kick for goal. Boy Carlton could use him these days.
