65 Grand Final is worth a mention. We were a few goals down and kicking into the breeze in the last quarter...great win. Damn, gotta pull the video out and watch it again now!!

Lost one game by one point

That $ubi side would have been beaten by 20+ goals by the Swans, Claremont & South Freo sides of the early 80's! B)

Agree but you can only compare to the other teams your playing in regard to Subi that year. Your spot on though - Subi's team that year wasn't the best ever but it may have been in the post 86 era. The two should be kept separate?

The comp has been stuffed since the Weagles came in after 1986.

Have a look at the at the Subi and Old East teams that played off in 86 -
They were both of AFL standard.

Yep...that point that just snuck in by one metre with one minute remaining in the 4th qtr...may as well call it an undefeated season ;)

Dont start that again Dags! it was clearly a point! I remember jumping around like an idiot in the outer pocket opposite, because Subi were ALMOST unbeatable that year

Quite surprised you didn't have this 27 -

1st - Andrew Krakouer - 2010
2nd - Swan Districts - 1982, 83, 84
3rd - Swan Districts - 1961, 62, 63

For me, EF 1902, 1903 & 1904 were the most dominant side/s to ever play the WAFL!

So Andrew Krakouer was a team in the WAFL in 2011 was he? Silly me, I thought he was playing for Collingwood that year :P .

When I started following footy in the late 60's as a young Swans fan, I was awestruck by the Perth team of the late 60's. Cable, Brehaut, Isegar, Rothnie etc were all supermen as far as I was concerned. I remember going to Bassendean one day and being quite pleased that Swans came within ten goals of them!. They reckon that first impressions are the most powerful and to me these guys were the best

For me any undefeated side would have to be up there.

Caught me out there mikeh....silly me.....obviously when Andy Krak left SD in 2011, SD, as a team, fell apart at the seams....updated for you now mate...to me Andy Krak was the best team SD have ever put out in the WAFL comp, in my time of watching WAFL footy at least.....
