Now is this for clubs or A team that can be considered the best team that has ever played in the WAFL. Now that would be a big exercise and you would have to look at Premiership side. Being biased I would say WPFC but then again you must look at EFFC as the team that is well ahead of all others in achievements.
Ron gives a good assessment in his article under News and Articles worth a read and now you can put a comment on the post :)

Yes understand that but it is a long bow to draw.. Ok Perth not so hard as 7 Premierships (not putting crap on them) compared To EF 29 premierships.

Then we have the runner up teams who could of been just as good but got beaten on the day of the GF. As Ron alludes to in his article under News and Articles (up the top)

Teams must of been stronger pre AFL days and that must be taken into account. Remembering a lot of Key players from clubs were playing AFL. To quote Ron

There is no doubt that the competition has suffered a drop in standard since the AFL system began drawing the best of the talent out of the local competition at the end of the eighties. But previous to the nineties, the standard of the game here was very high, and one only needs to look at the strength of the sides to see that.

Then we had the Alignment :( With EP and the Eagles 2000-2002? where they dominated.

I am surprised you did not pick one of the teams from the 60's 30plusyeardrought
as they were champions in their own right and got a hat trick?

Perth had been around the place without any chocolates for some seasons, with a sprinkling of stars, but in 1966, under a new playing coach in Malcolm Atwell and a sensation in Barry Cable, they took the competition by storm. They won three in a row, in 1966, 67, and 68, with Brehaut, Page, Shields, Mills(2), Millson, Pyke, Leuzzi, Astone, Chittleborough, and Dalton among their best.

As for EFFC we have 1946 when Old Easts made history by going thru the season undefeated! Features stars of the era Ebbs, Gabrielson, Clark, Prince, etc

How many teams have gone through a season undefeated in the WAFL??

Interesting debate but I have put it into the too hard basket due to all the
variables.

I think this post is about best individual team, not premiership tallies, success is defined by flags but its arguable that looking at the purity of a team the SD side of 1980 was streets ahead only to have their pants pulled down by an underated Sth who didnt hve the talent we did but took hm the choccies..same could be said about 83 with Sth finishing on top but SD winning the flag from 3rd
