I watch both forms of the game Anchor and have never said otherwise. Love my footy, appreciate all quality players and do get a lot of pleasure from viewing AFL footy however when it comes to throwing my hard earned at the game I choose to do so supporting the club I found first as a child which is SD. To me the difference is that the AFL has become purely commercially driven tv footy entertainment now which is fine whereas in attending the WAFL games I get to enjoy the footy amongst my local community in a non-sterile environment. On any given game day you can be chatting with the captain, coach, president , past champion, present player or CEO of your WAFL club or even the opposition's about all things footy related. Never had that experience from AFL and doubt I ever would so like I said my hard earned gets spent at a club that makes me feel welcome whilst providing me with my weekly footy fix.

Understand where you're coming from DW. I like watching Aussie Rules at both levels, but because of the alignment I handed in my WCE membership and put that money into EFFC. Just pisses me when all the so called "will never watch AFL footy" people post rubbish.

I don't watch AFL because it is contrived rubbish - prefer to go to my local club (work permitting) to watch grassroots footy
I don't have a problem with that

We will definitely be taking payment for (1) the privilege of using our hallowed historic ground.
(2) Bevvies available on sale in our Members area

Oh and by the way I sit in the Members seeing as I'm in the Centurion Club

Don't be confused Anchorman you are the one arse-licking the AFL - WE are taking payment for the use of our ground & facilities which are advertised routinely (even on our website if you had cared to glance at it)

Your AFL side are merely tenants - the SFFC upkeep Fremantle Oval

It's NOT the NAB Cup but the NAB Challenge. There are no winners except Draftees, Rookies & untried players on the List. Its only high profile practice matches where existing AFL players have a social run & young guns bust their guts. No Cup or rewards for the winners.

Thats great, we get it. You hate the AFL and you hate the WA clubs, thats your opinion and you are entitled to it. But it doesnt mean you need to polute every AFL based thread with your negative nancy bullshit. How about when you log on you just go straight to the WAFL threads and not worry about the AFL ones.
