So despite breaking his court orders Gartlett is given another chance, despite a rap sheet for his latest indescretions being quite long. People wonder why the country is going to rack and ruin. Please tell me where his actual punishment is here??

Yep just saw it on Chn 7 news and it hurts.. this guy really hurt me on the footy field when we played SD and I loved his skills.. I for one have some empathy toward Dale and would love to see him reform. Maybe this is the problem no one wants to help and the government agencies are toothless tigers.

I am sure he enjoyed his footy and tried but drugs are a killer.. (especially for 2 in Bali who deserve it)
I have empathy towards him and would love to see him on the WAFL field again as he was a joy to watch. His future is possibly ruined but it doesnt matter.. He still has a life to live in the Football arena.
I remember years ago where they took these people out on a hard yakka adventure training exercise where there were no drugs and they bonded with others with the same problem.
Cant remember who it was or what organisation but hearing from the people involved it changed their lives. It gave drug addicts self esteem and changed their lives

Hey it is alright to run the guy down and I agree god only helps those who help themselves but it can happen..

I just hope Dale can turn his life around but he has to mix with the right people and be led by people who can give him a chance.

His call = his life

From what i have read Cardy people at both Swannies and Hawthorn more than bent over backwards for this bloke. He refused ( or "knew better"), bet there is plenty of people out there who wish they had the support he had been offered thus far. Sorry just becuase he was a talented sportsman does not mean unlimited "extra credits" from me

Yep I thought that re coaches and clubs trying to help but how far did they go. Sure the effort was put in. Maybe he is past trying.. True he had the whole world in front of him and blew it. Having said that though all these people can think of is their next fix and their lives mean nothing.
His call.. Sad though. As I said when WP played Swans he certainly took us on and just remember him for that and admired his skills.
Lets see how his drug rehabilitation goes that was part of his conditions..
Most probably a waste of time?

Cant blame Hawthorn, they did everything including having him live with Luke Hodge and his wife while he was over there. Swans also did what they could for the boy

Dale was fine at Hawthorn until he came home for the Xmas break, and he never really went back after that. That's not a clubs fault if someone doesn't want to go, that's a maturity fault. He isn't the first boy to be like this and he wont be the last

The bloke wasn't mature enough to be responsible enough to dedicate himself to full time footy, he preferred to hang with his mates and be a boy growing up.

That doesn't mean the judge should keep giving him extra chances,

Yes, definitely his last, last chance. That is, until he stuffs up again and then we will hear again about how he got in with the wrong crowd, etc, etc, etc.
