If ever the Indians were going to beat us here at home it should have been this series. CA made the curators doctor the pitches so there was no nasty bounce for the Indian batsmen. They didn't schedule a game for the bounciest wicket in the country, the WACA. The second quickest wicket, the Gabba, was like a road. All the other wickets were flat tracks and made for batting.
The Indians were really never in the hunt to win any of the tests played and I think the two zip result made India look better than they actually were.
Yes they played some good cricket at times but never looked like winning a test.
Have the drop in pitches killed test cricket here in Australia?

Sounds like a Fremantle supporter in off season. Australian wickets are always fast escept for Sydney. We were TOO good.

I think the bowlers did well against some good batting from India. This is what batsmen are supposed to do if their side gets into trouble -- save test matches. In fairness the bowlers were not helpped by some very conservative captaincy by Smith.
