The West has a list of the likely replacements for Mitch Marsh : Voges 509 runs at 101.8, Ferguson 382 at 54.57, Maddison 126 at 63, handscomb 348 at 146 and Carters 336 at 48. Interesting to see which way they go.
Damn Watson, gets a wicket and bowls tightly, saves himself.
Good to see the old Johnson fired up.

Australia always struggle in a small run chase, thank fark Starc and Hazlewood put on that decent last wicket stand.....anything 170 plus and Aust would of lost.....though Aust best batsmen were still waiting in the sheds to bat!

If Lehmann picks Watson and Haddin for the boxing day test....which he duly will....then Watson and Haddin seriously need to be given a wake up call and bat behind the likes of Johnson and Starc....Haddin is purely a keeper on his current batting form, whilst Watson is a bowling allrounder on current batting form. TBH both need to be farked off right away......I guess Cowan needs to bat 3 purely on current shield form......with Nevill or Whiteman taking the gloves.....though Whiteman has done fark all with the bat of late.

Rest Harris till Sydney and swap him for Johnson to give him a spell........Starc is wayward but if he is the future then give him a run of games, not play one, drop him and then play him again for one, then drop him.......he definitely strengthens the batting, just need to get his bowling right......2/0 with only a hand full of contributions in each game.....Warner, Smith, Marsh and Lyon in Adelaide......and then Rogers, Smith, Johnson, Starc, Lyon and Hazlewood in Brisbane....slowly but surely getting more hands on deck....

Haddin actually took more catches than he scored runs in this Test!!

Rest Johnson?? Now I know you've been drinking or taking the piss...rest Johnson? He was the reason we won. His 80 plus with the bat followed up with the 2nd innings wickets won the game. Tempted to put him at 3 and Starc at 5 in the the batting order. Watson's shot to get out in the 2nd innings was proof as to why he should not be selected again. Johnson is the type of bowler who has to keep playing, rest him, and he'll lose form.
Not sure about rushing Harris back in, Starc showed a bit in the 2nd innings and his batting along with Johnson won the game. Think the 4 bowlers added nearly 200 runs. Starc has played 14 tests and been dropped 10 times, give the kid a chance.
Haddin will stay as he helps Smith out, his keeping is sound, may have to drop him down the order.
On a totally different subject, did anyone see Darren Sammy play in the BBL? Awesome.

If Mitch Marsh is unavailable for the Boxing Day Test maybe James Faulkner could be his replacement as a genuine all rounder.

never said rest Johnson for Melbourne? .....said rest Harris TILL Sydney then replace Johnson with Harris, allowing Mitch a rest and Starc a few games on the trot to deliver whatever Lehmann et al see him!!...Fark I know my posts are painful for you mate....BUT at least read the farkin thing first Jimmy before jumping down my throat

interesting to see Burns get the nod over Cowan for Melbourne.....don't think Lehamnn thinks too highly of Mr Ed!!......perhaps Marsh to 3?.....Smith, Burns, Watson , Haddin , Johnson, Starc, Hazlewood and Lyon......though Johnson and Starc could easily bat 6 and 7 before Watto and Haddin!

Watson, prolly the KFC main marketing man for the summer, hence he plays no matter what

I am quietly confident that the selectors will nurse Watson nicely through to 100 tests.
