Been watching this & amazed at the poor crowds. Anyone know the admission Costs? Looks like we may beat NSW but commentating is biased so not sure. Klinger stiff on 96 & holed out in the deep.

Twits organising venues didn't realize that if it was held at the WACA, there would have been at least 10k. Still, cricket is all about the eastern seaboard.
Congrats to Klinger for man of the match, but Behrendorf was dead unlucky not to get it. How about those 2 catches by Coults...brilliant.

The match was very much in the balance for a while. NSW seemed to topple over once Watson was dismissed. Well done WA

Great stuff by the WA boys sticking it up Cricket Australia's little darlings NSW who dont travel and play all their games at home and get gifted a home final despite not even finishing on top.
Maybe next year just to guarantee NSW win the comp CA can do away with the toss and just let NSW choose whether they want to bat or bowl first!

Funny Comment Beas., but a correct one indeed; good result for WA -- thank goodness they finally won something worthwhile. all the scorchers stuff is nonsense.

come on BH......don't forget NSW were playing their B side mate......Warner, Clarke, Smith, and Starc all outs......the CA need to cut NSW some slack mate  ......great win by the WA boys....not a huge fan of Harris and Simmons, but kudos for the flying start they gave WA.

Wished I could of gotten some coverage of the game, but had the only option of watching Pakistan rookie spinners make fools out of Aust. Though great to see Steve Smith keep stepping up, just keeps proving a lot of his earlier critics wrong......as for Clarke, Doolan, Haddin and Lyon.....mmmmm think they got paid well overs for their individual efforts in this game......love Clarke's comments re: Doolan and his class.....averages mid-late 30's in 1st class cricket and he is in late 20's......mmmmmmm gotta feeling that is good as he is gonna give or get......where are the days where Australia had guys of a similar age waiting patiently on the wings with 1st class averages of mid 40's - 50's....eg Hussey, Lehmann, Langer, Martyn, Hayden, Jacques etc.....

Had to laugh at Adam Gilchrists rap of Mitch Marsh....."fantastic athlete", "potential AFL footballer"......"lovely straight bat".....then out to a soft arse dismissal.....TBH Mitch is no different to Watson, Henriques, Maxwell etc.....all fantastic athletes but all lack the discipline to be elite cricketers......too much easy money on offer in the 20/20 game!

B side maybe freeze but we all know the NSW boys have a baggy green in their possession whether or not they have actually worn it for the national side ...as yet! ;)

why are you amazed that there is no one watching 50 over cricket. It is dead in the water. People have to work now days and the game goes for too long and often risks being over at the half way mark.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Freeze: on the national cricket side, they should just pick their six best batsmen and four best bowlers. This would give you the following team:

Rogers
Warner
Hughes
Clarke
Smith
Maxwell
Haddin
Johnson
Starc
Siddle
Hiflie

The batting is a wee bit fragile for all the reasons you mention in you last post, but overall, it should post 500 runs in a test, which makes you competitive. In the test just gone, the batting achieved this aggregate, the bowlers excelling in losing the test match. There is no point playing a spinner if they are incapable, one is better off with four seamers and two part-time spinners. Australia has always taken this that and the other spinner to various places, including Graeme Beard to Pakistan in 1980, for example. O'keefe and Lyon are simply the latest illustration the country's pre Warne and post Warne difficulties to find class spinners.

Cheers.
