As for the Essendon players, I sense they will take similar offers from Asada like Cronulla players did. They will have to live with that cheat tag, but many will see it as a way to keep playing football and make money.

Until that decision is made by the players, other clubs will be reluctant to take them. But when its done, there will be a flood of talent being recruited by 17 other clubs. It is a disaster for Essendon, they are totally screwed. I feel for the supporters more than anything. But most of them are at fault for backing Hird too. That was a huge mistake & totally biased. They should have demanded he be moved on immediately, but they did not.


Your on the money Jardine, its a once in a lifetime opportunity for clubs to top off their lists with good players already in the system. it will be a big winner for clubs at the top of the tree with money to spend.

Players play for a lively hood, most of them would not have the qualifications to make money outside of footy, so they need to take the penalty to keep playing
