Going into next year, which of the 2 local teams would you think you would be more confident on??

I think that Freo will still be confident next year unless there are some retirements and unforeseen trades which affect the playing group for the worse.
In saying that though I also think WCE will be a much better side next year.

freo people can try and polish the turd as much as they like, but the fact remains they have gone from grand finalists last year to failing to win a single final this year, they never really looked the goods this year, just scraped into 4th only to be bungled out in straight sets. To make it worse they have already been passed over by Port and North who struggled lst year.

Next year presents a cross roads of a season for the dockers, ageing stars with another tough draw ahead.

Freo will talk up their prospects for next year , they did the same after last years GF, so confident plenty even booking 2014 GF tickets the day after!

I see the dockers making the 8 next year, probably 5th or 6th.

Anyway as for the WCE, there must be some signs of improvement surely and a top 8 finish would have to be a requirement.

Bazza did they finished the qualifying matches in 4th position? Where did WCE finished with a much easier draw than the Dockers? Will WCE have a harder draw next year than this year?

Is that some what offset by an older player list at the dockers, and perhaps some of the dockers at 30 plus years of age even out the debate??
