Just watched my favourite TV show Chooseday Night Football on Fox Footy with a great game from Round 22 1987 between Carlton vs North Melbourne on tonight with so many West Aussies starring in that contest.
From Carlton there was Peter Sartori SD, Jon Dorotich SF, Kenny Hunter C, Wayne Blackwell C, Mike Aitken C, Richard Dennis EP
Whilst from NM there was the incomparable Phil & Jimmy Krakouer C, Mark Hepburn C, Steve McCann.
Future WAFL coaches in Blackwell, Peter German & David Glascott also took part in the clash.
Other 'notables' in this game included Demetriou, Kernaghan, Bradley, Silvagni, Madden, Rhys-Jones amongst others.
Cracking game & for the record Stephen Kernaghan kicked the winning goal after the final siren from the forward pocket to clinch top spot for the Blues.
Often wondered what Peter Sartori was up to these days, kicked 5 goals in this game & was an absolute star for Swans during the 80's including 2 sensational finals series in 83 & 84 in Premiership years!
