Just watched a bit of the Geelong V Western Bulldogs game and had to put up with Dwayne Russell barracking for the Cats which he barely covered up with a thinly veiled attempt at commentary. It was so blatant. Most of the Fox commentators at least try and cover up their biases but not Dwayne. Then, after what was a pretty ordinary performance by Geelong at home against a bottom 6 team, our man Dwayne was getting all excited and extolling Geelong's prospects of finishing top 2

Maybe they should put Dwayne on the red button job like they have with Eddie and provide some decent commentators for neutrals. It's no wonder that Dennis Commetti is so far ahead as the best caller of a footy match but to be honest how much competition has he got?

I dont mind DwanynePipe. There is a control called volume. Just drop it to mute. Makes a better game. After all you know its a mark or kick.

I disagree. I think a good commentator can add to the visual enjoyment of the game and I pay good money for Foxtel so I should be entitled to expect some quality

I agree Mike, we pay damned good money and expect good service, but get one eyed twits like Dwayneo and Matthew Campbell who bores you shitless. Please Mr Foxtel, give me better value for money.

Dwayne was a worse footballer for the cats than he was a commentator today, that says it all. the bloke is an A Grade TOOL

I'm sure the commentarywas "as good as it gets". One day he will realise thst no matter how much he uses the phrase, it won't catch on.

The more I watch football on tv the more I miss Clinton Grybas.

Piss poor is Foxtel Cup commentary.

Not a game goes by where one of the commentators doesn't muff up a team name. There is absolutely no research done into anyone except Freddie Clutterbuck - and that's only to take the mickey out of his name.

Dead right Mike although it was pretty good when Mark Readings was doing it ..now for some reason Matthew Campbell has taken over the Foxtel Cup commentary duties and he is just abysmal. For a half of footy the other week he was calling Seva Martin by the name Martin Seva before someone finally pulled his coat!

The Foxtel crew need to have a good look at their calling teams as they are all pretty ordinary.
For those that are interested they,Fox have a forum where you can vent on them or anything else football wise,AFL,that is.It is strictly run but at least your concerns can be heard.It really is worth it.If enough people get into them via the site then maybe something will be done about them.But how sad was it to have to listen to Nasal yesterday doing the Swans Eagles game!!!He is close to getting into the Bruce vein of commentary.His dribbling about certain players is sickening.

I realise that this is about bias but there is no one worse than Dermie. To be subjected to his inane dribbling analysis for an entire game is the most excruciating experience in football.
