Having attended the Hopman Cup I was impressed by the new stadium. East access, easy exit and great acoustics. However I was disappointed with the live advertisements plastered on the Big Screen TV's at every opportunity with the amplified background music as an integral part of the proceedings. Why don't organisers of these events understand that the actual event is what people pay their money to see and they don't want or need all the other rubbish. The same thing happened at last years AFL Grand Final when they felt the need to play the countdown music before the start of each quarter. If we end up with a basketball type mentality with music playing during the actual game it may be time to give it away. Stay tuned. The new Stadium at Burswood will be more of the same!
