Shiney no Highlights.. Must admit wasnt as humourous as previous reviews
Not saying that as a WP supporter either. Security guards took up most of the post and not really reflection on the Ground.
Will let it pass as a bad day for you. Ps not a Closet EP supporter are you? Looking forward to your Medibank reviews.

Highlights:

Hmmm… it’s been sunny the days I’ve gone up there. Probably because we are so close to the friggin’ equator!
Passionate (be it uninformed) fans and there are plenty of them to create an atmosphere.
Getting to see Kraks play.. hmm … no wait a minute … I’ll have to go to Jubilee Reserve for that!!

I thought it funny, maybe too close to home. Many moons ago when Falcs played at Leederville we abandoned the Grandstand and always watched from the outer, far more peaceful and less parochial

Anyone remember the good old days at Old Easts? David Hollins, Doug Green, Brian Peake, Jumping Jimmy Sewell? I like East Fremantle don’t get me wrong. I haven’t got much to say about this place. The kilometre walk from your car to the ground two blocks away lets you see all these lovely historic houses on the way. Parking spot? Be one of the first 100 there to get a decent one. I head through the entrance behind the stand and go up the back stairs to the member’s undercover seating unimpeded. Comfy seats with drink holders. Luxury. Be sure to wear neutral colours or even a touch of blue so you don’t arouse suspicion. If you drove there without an ACROD sticker you will be the youngest person in the stand by 20 years. I have never seen anyone kicked out so they are probably cool with you being there anyway. Behind you will be the trophy room. I feel that the old blokes outside would much prefer to be in this trophy room, by the fireplace slippers on, lassie dog by their side, smoking a pipe and talking about the good old days. They don’t understand this modern game, rules and stuff. They don’t like ANY umpiring decision against them. They want the 50's back. They don’t trust umpires, the umps are against them! AGAIN! They don’t like the opposing team either and can be quite intimidating towards them. I remember breaking cover one day there and said loudly “this East Freo crowd is as bad as that Eagles mob”. The next thing I know this 80 year old bloke invites me to settle it behind the grandstand!! I suspect when they merge with South Freo this place will go the way of Richmond Raceway and there will be a nice tidy sum made by someone for this rare earth. Unfortunately as quaint as it is for a bunch of old buildings cobbled together, Moss Street is passed its use by date. But hey! Let’s enjoy it while it lasts. It will be sad to see a good old traditional WAFL ground go but hey that’s the way it goes sometimes.

Highlights: They let me sit in their undercover member’s grandstand, good bar facilities, TV’s, snack bar, history on the walls.

Low lights: I have to keep checking over my shoulder every time I go there as there’s an old bloke who wants to clock me.

I wonder if that old bloke was Jack Sheedy who wanted to show you the paint scheme behind the grandstand Shiny?......if it was mate, at least he was saving you the embarrassment of getting a hiding from a pensioner in front of the grandstand mate.......good write up, you were beyond kind for the ole place....... ;)
