So these blokes are 18 when drafted. So why does the AFL have a responsibilty to "baby sit" these draftees with thier own personal welfare officer to teach them RIGHT from WRONG, work ethic, manners, respect, discipline etc etc. In the 18 years before they hit the AFL system, where has the guidence been previous to that, be it family, school,previous footy clubs, coaches etc etc. All of a sudden 18 year olds with footy abilty but attitude problems becomes a problem that the AFL has "to fix". All these do gooders wanting to place the blame on everyone BAR the individual who makes these decisions.

With you there unk-ffs, are these 18 yr olds mummy's boys with the apron strings firmly attached? Sure, suddenly being awash with money would affect them and they might spend bigger than usual. But at the end of the day their upbring should be enough to stop them from becoming an ahole of society.
