Would much rather listen to JJJ than the commercial stations which play 5 songs a day repeated 50 times that we have going in our office, can usually hear 3 radios at once.....92.9, 93.7 and 96 (thats why i bring earphones to work).

I hate when people, liek yourself Shark, that calls a DJ an "idiot" that pumps out "noises" just because you are not a fan of that music. And then calling people that like this music airheads. I hear the same crap at work, but then when a commercial song that has been playing 1,000,000 times in the last 2 days comes on, they think its the best song ever, and they think this because they have heard it soooo much that it must be good. If you dont like the music, then dont listen to it, it is quite simple. If other people have it playing then put earphones in, its not too hard, dont just sit their and whinge.

I started a new thread on this, as the other lads are discussing something different.
Stations such as 94 and 96 aren't as repetitive as you say, but I must admit most of my listening is to the community stations and my MP3. I call the dj an idiot because some of them are just 30 yr old teenagers and I stand by this. I re-read my post a few times and couldn't find where I branded all jjj listeners as airheads - please don't twist my words to suit your point of view. Perhaps I should have called these lads 'dope-heads'? Unfortunately, I am not as lucky as you where I can don earphones and sit in an office all day. While I can escape the din in my office for periods, I am still subject to the station when I am out and about. I love the "don't like it, don't listen" bit....my friend, I promise you, I don't have a choice. My taxes help pay for this station, so Mr Soprano, that entitles me to complain. If you see that as sitting here whinging, that's your right, as is your right to be wrong. Rant over...done with that!

Personally could never stand JJJ when growing up, but then couldn't stand 92.9 and the others either. If they started broadcasting footy I might just start listening.

Another reason to shut this sham of a radio station down....or at least remove our TAX PAYER'S dollars from their coffers. I don't think they'd be even slightly interested in broadcasting the WAFL...seems as though no one is (wonder if they know what Aussies rules is????)
Mind you, I'm easily bought - if they did broadcast WAFL, I'd probably listen

I still dont get the idiot DJ's call though, yes you are right that some of them most probably are, exactly like some people in any type of industry/genre are. But its like you are labelling every single DJ on JJJ as an idiot dj, thats hardly fair.

Sorry, just rereading my initial post a few times and I cant find where I accussed you of braning all JJJ listeners as Airheads? But you did call a couple of people airheads, in a suggestive manner as to their choice of radio station, which obviously fueled my frustration and evoked my emotions of my less than competent colleagues.

Agree with you on that point Shark, taxes pay for the radio station, you should have a say with how it is run etc. But I guess writing about it on this forum isnt exaclty going to help the cause is it, it is hardly complaining as who are you complaining to exactly? So I guess it is more of a public whinge.

Understand some of your points, and I will agree to disagree on others.
