Can someone, anyone explain the following to me?
Michael Clarke is out because the DRI shows that the ball would have JUST clipped his bails. Yet in so many other decisions it is not out because not enough of the ball hit the wicket. FFS, I am confused. :pinch:
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

Pretty simple guys, its all about sticking with the umpires original decision, if he was given not out and it was reviewed it would have been given not out at review

correct ph...due to the margin of error factored into DRS if the umpy gives it out or not out and its shown to be clipping the stumps the original decision is confirmed. for the umpys decision to be overturned it either needs to be hitting the stumps by at least half the ball or missing completely.

Ok, thanks for the explanation. We can live with that, so long as it is consistent.

I am pretty sure this exact scenario has been discussed already. It has been consistent.

What annoys me is that they give a tolerance for the error factor of the DRS. Isnt that what it is supposed to do? Eliminate human error? Obviously it is not 100% and doesnt do that, Well done to the Indians for not adopting it!!
