TOPIC:

I have the occasion to walk past NIB most mornings as I trek into Northbridge for work, keeping an eye on the new stands as they slowly sprout. Up until this morning I was unaware of a medium sized billboard on the boundary fence behind the "Shed". Sprouting the usual slogan and establishing the link between the govt dept, builder, architects etc. Sadly the artwork depicted just a picture of a rugby game. What have Glory done to be ignored on this poster, the long term tenants albeit with a stormy relationship with the oval administrators and lets face it they have proven that they have some stay ability whereas the future of the Force (cos they can't win and keep their players) and even the chance of the existence of the "Pirate" are still up for debate. What are these wonderful stands going to be used for when Glory move to Cockburn (lets face it everyone else is) the Force fade and the Pirates run aground

I had to laugh reading that tin pot story in the Worst the other day about naming the new stand getting built at Perth Oval the Nathan Sharpe Stand ..the Farce have played there a whole 3 years & now they want a stand named after a QLDer who was here a whole 5 minutes & has now moved back there to live!
I was thinking the Peter Vlahos Stand would be a more approriate title!!
