Sitting back watching Subi against Peel on Sat and looking at all the kids playing I couldn't help but be amazed at the injuries Subi has struggled with this year.So tonight I looked up the side that lined up in our 1st game of the season and noted that 9 players from that team are out injured at the moment.

Also looking at when we 1st played EP this season to our last game this week there are 10 players out.

Looking at some of the players that are all regulars in league (when playing) that are out and they include - Sinclair,Bristow,Forrest,Randall,Grover,Kerr,Phelan,Daniels,Deluca,Wood,
Sheed and Macdonald also Nathan Philips who came back and then retired.
I may have missed a few but I know there are a some fringe players and ressies out as well.

That's a huge amount of talent out at the moment hence our poor efforts at the end of the season. The good thing is we've had a chance to see kids a bit earlier and Woods and Sheed have played league along with a regular sprinkle of colts playing ressies.

This all considered we were always going to stuggle but we did get good value out of Mcdougall and JKT and Mahoney played much better this year.

I think we could be reasonable in 2014 - There is hope ???

Yep and guy's like Mcdougall and Gum who are currently playing were injured for a few games early but have been playing for a while now. Subi's ressies were looking good early but have copped it a bit lately.

It's a pitty Subi don't do the West Perth thing and keep their members up to date with who's out, with what and for how long - Cardy tells everyone on here where their injuries are at.

Too true Chopper. Check my similar post in the Subi thread. I guess its that time of the season for us to reflect as I was doing the same thing. I looked at the game v East Perth and compared it to the earlier game in the year where we had only 11 players in from that team. Then to the same game the previous year and their is only 7 players left from the corresponding round 12 months before!

High turnover in anyone's books....bad culture or bad luck to blame over there in the Lion shed? not a loaded question either just wondering as I know a few young fellas who've walked away from Subi over past couple of years before really giving it a go. Did the same thing, regrettably, myself years ago at SD at colt level and in confronting these young blokes and telling them they are mad giving up so easily all responded with comments relaying their disgust towards Subi. Well aware that not being good enough will often lead to sour grapes so it is with these reasons and an open mind I ask.
