A question for this forum - are there any films about footy - real footy, not the round ball football or rugby, but Aussie rules.

I know of "The Club" based on the mike Williamson play which is a goody. Also "The Year of the Dog" a doco about battling footscray. Can anyone think of other films about our great game?

Thanks for that dirty weekender - "australian rules" that is a good one. Know of that film and have seen a bit of it. It is an excellent film indeed so I am going to download it. Will keep a look out for blinder. Jack Thompson is coach of Torquay I believe in that one.

The Great Macarthy from the 70's was another footy movie starring John Jarrett.

I remember that Kirbs from memory Dale Kickett was involved in that?

yeah good skills there Kirbs coming up with "And the Big Men Fly" a TV series from 1974 and a fly on the wall doco as well.

Love that action DVD West Coast versus Sydney from 2006, goes for about 3 hours and the finish is a thriller
