Bazza a number of people have lost their jobs and I think some more to come in that regard. Presumably there will also be a negative impact on Essendon with respect to points and/or draft picks to be announced post the release of the report.

Yes some people have lost their jobs at Essendon, however those who have, are not the people who decided a sports scientist with a supplements program was the path required for success at the Bombers. At the beginning of this saga James Hird took full responsibility for the situation the Club was in...until obviously his legal team recommended he refrain from this statement as it may have severe ramifications for him personally. Since then he has sat back whilst others have been sacked or have fallen on their swords. The Essendon FC name has been dragged through the mud and whether the Club or individuals are found guilty or not the question still remains...who is reponsible for putting the players & Club in this situation? Who sourced out Robinson & Danks? Who interviewed Danks & decided his program was the necessary direction required then hired his services? This is the person who should be identified & removed immediately!!!...or better still maybe he could have the courage to stand up & say it was me & i take full responsibility for my actions for my role in this diabolical episode!!!

What is it with the dons. That bit about being dragged through the mud. They are the original salary cap cheats remember. Back in '99, a joint league and ATO investigation into Essendon's finances found the club had systematically breached the cap to the tune of $514,500 between 1991 and 1996

A lot of damaged has been done to the Essendon Football Club's reputation, the reputation of many people involved at Essendon, the AFL competition etc. I suspect that things will get a lot worse in the ensuing weeks and months. I have held the position for a while that Hird's position longterm was not sustainable no matter what the exact findings of the ASADA inquiry.

If I were a member of their club swan, I wouldn't let this worry me too much. You can be assured that when it's all over, the AFL and the Melbourne media will, shall I say, 'assuage' the situation. In 2yrs time the Esserden FC will be the clean darlings of the football world if their media get their way! At the moment though, having read the Robinson interview, if he is honest in what he says, then someone from the EFC needs to do time. Namely one 'worshipped hero'. You simply cannot put a family through that and go unscathed.

I agree shark, they will just go through a cleansing period and will be sweet as roses, have a look at be Carlton debacle a few years back, now their all good.
