Interesting to hear about this happening. Maxwell not the most acclaimed captain to lead a club. Scarlett never seen him play on the best forward of the opposition but talks a lot like he has. Thoughts?

i think i agree with scarlett. never rated maxwell as a captain. always plays free in defence and points fingers when things go wrong. heath shaw always looks like the captain judging by the way he carries on. while maxwell seems to stay mute. not a good look.

Interesting one.... i think Maxwell did 2 or so pre seasone with the cats hoping to be drafted, they (cats) obvioulsy assumed he didnt have the "goods". Id rate Maxwell as a fringe half back flanker in the "better teams", in the second tier teams, prob gets a game every week

Bit harsh on Scarlett A&B... He played on the guns earlier on in his career. Not that I think he was the full back of the century or anything like that but certainly was an A grader. You only gotta hear how his fellow Cat players talk about him to understand how respected a player he was amongst them. Don't really hear the same comments re Maxwell from his lot who has had one outstanding season where he played outta his skin and IMO only at best has tried to play his role in all the others. Sound but not brilliant. Might just come down to the fact Maxwell is the skipper of Collingwood so why wouldn't you sledge him. Ur either with em or against them.

Scarlett has seen it all and done it all in the AFL world....thus can talk as much as he likes TBH....doesn't mean one has to agree with him.....obviously you don't......Maxwell fan perhaps?

The best thing about Scarlett and like all quality defenders, is that they go about their business with the minimum of fuss, one can't remember how well they played, only that the forward they were playing on did F.A......

LOL.....I am as much an Eagles or Dockers fan as Scarlett footy ability is overated, A&B......

so once again I ask.... 'what thoughts are you after A&B?'......thoughts on your observation that Scarlett, the triple premiership and 6 time A/A defender, achieved all this playing on 3rd rated forwards?.....or thoughts on Scarletts apparent ability to talk a bit too much, when really his lack of ability says he really shouldn't? ......I think I have given you my thoughts,to both your questions, in my first post......

can't believe you can say you never saw Scarlett play on any opposition forward guns......mind boggling to say the least.....how old are you mate?....primary school age?.....or perhaps a new convert to Aussie rules?

Well the plot thickens, to sell my book lets start making up untrue stuff and slag off at another player back in time, hang on he slagged at me!! That will do. So far a lot of people wont rush off to read it and we have a court case looming over for defamation. Oh well that should get the book selling.
