The Peel Thunder FC should now been seen for the disaster it really is, and closed off for good. This experiment, fast-tracked by the WAFC, has not been a success and has seen good football money thrown down the drain. Despite some success at Colts level, this has not translated into League success and you have the embarrasing scenario of the League squad running out of players.
The facility, arguably one of the best in the State, should be maintained but a current WAFL Club with a poor, rundown and ageing facility, needs to relocate to Mandurah and take up residence there. This would return the WAFL to an 8 team comp, but more importantly, end the blunder that has been the Peel Football Club, a hastily cobbled together experiment that has badly backfired.
The host club situation will not assist Peel in any way. As we now see, even though this is a transition year, Peel is unable to retain players on it's list, and if the club is retained in the WAFL, will be an uncompetitive embarrasment in the future.
The FFC is relocating to Cockburn, so why partner with a Mandurah Club? Peel has become a millstone around the neck of the WAFC, owing it many hundreds of thousands of dollars and has never neen able to retain quality players, coaches or admin staff. The turnover has been enormous - testimony to the basket case that is Peel Thunder.
End this situation now and close the Peel Thuder FC.

but the wafc dont ever admit to mistakes, they just create them endlessly

We all know Peel has been an abject failure, and will continue to be till the end of time, but they aren't going anywhere.

Give it a year or two and I think Fremantle are going to realise that the alignment has been a big mistake for them. Having young, freshly drafted players getting flogged week after week won't be in their master plan. So what will they do? They'll try to lure senior players from other clubs/states to prop them up but unfortunately for them the wafl has a salary cap.

West Coast have done far better aligning with East Perth.

Must have the Mandurah Dockers with Freo song (except we are the Mandurah Dockers) and jumper.

Must have Joondalup Eagles with Eagles song (except Joondalup Eagles) and jumper. - This to be a newly created club.

This has the following benefits:

1)Leaves the integrity of the traditional club East Perth in tack.

2)Moves the comp to a 10 team comp to prevent this ridiculous fixturing we have been having. Each team would play the other 9 teams twice for an 18 round home and away.

3)Would allow two competitions to be run simultaneously. - The traditional eight would fight out the Wafl Premiership with a top four. - All ten clubs would be playing for "The Chevron Cup" (some big sponsor)and the winner would be who finished top of the 18 games.

4)It would bring real whistles and bells to the competition. You would not see Fremantle letting a team loose the way Peel have been if they were wearing the Freo colours and being totally run by Freo. Same for WC.

Mandurah and Joondalup only allowed to have 45 players on their senior list as compared to the traditional Eight having 55 players on their senior list.

Would everyone prefer one new club and the integrity of the traditional eight remain in tack and better fixturing or more of the same for 20 years?

What should happen is Peel fold, disband, p!ss off & East Fremantle (sorry freeze) move into there nice new shiny premises at Rushton Park.
FFS WAFC stop wasting precious footy money on that waste of space who have done nothing but bleed $$$$ from the rest of the WAFL teams since there ill fated, controversial inception.
We need to go back to 8 WAFL teams with 3 rounds of 7 & 21 Home & Away games ASAP!

So does mean EF becomes the host club for the dockers?
