Bum chums and carpet munchers then. Is that less offensive? Dan is just a defacto Greenie. The old kerosene heater might be making a comeback in Victoria.
Get on your bike.

WA Labor are passed their peak, The Heritage Laws are a disgrace, was reading how Claremont Council had to cancel a public art trail around lake Claremont due to them.

Cooked has no idea started mouthing off at the victory party how he they great the laws where. Out of touch totally.

News filtering through this morning that the Commonwealth Games planned for Canada might be scrapped. Apparently the Provence of Alberta is withdrawing the bid to hold the event. Citing some of the excuses old Dan has used. Would be interesting to find the real reason for not wanting to host the games. Will probably be the end of the Commonwealth games if Canada pull the pin? Is suspicious Alberta are using some of the excuses from Melbourne! Perhaps they also think resign them to history as a relic of yester-year.

WAG: It is not a relic thing, even with Dan, he wants Canberra to go halves. London partly funded Birmingham's bid last time; I would rather fund the CG than a soccer competition which, when all is said and done, is u-19 standard. I have watched just one colts game at Subi, as I have no interest in seeing 18 year old boys play sport, either. Only the Victorians are interested in colts players because they are cheap via their silly draft. Remember lads, the vast majority of colts players never play league football.

Yes, pretty sad news now that Canada has pulled the pin, I agree I think with so few coming forward to host it could be in real trouble, all a bit weird especially when you see how successful the womens world cup has been here.

It was disappointing Perth got so few big games.

Was just reading an article out of the United States. Regarding the Commonwealth Games.Past, now and future.
Late last week Alberta Canada withdrew there successful bid for the 2030 games.
With Victoria withdrawal for the next games.
Like the Fifa meltdown with the  TV rights. For the Woman's Soccer World Cup.
The Tv rights for the Commonwealth Games is only half of what was budgeted. By the winners of the 2026+2030 Comm Games.
It was reported that the last Commonwealth Games in Birmingham was a great success.Profit made to pay for all the new stadiums. And a generous pay TV deal.
India would be a good replacement for Victoria
A lot cheaper to build the new facilitys than Au + Canada.
Victorian bid was doomed from the start.Hosted in rural Victoria all over the state.Would always lead to massive cost blowouts.

Yes TV rights values have taken a plunge.

I cannot see why they could not be done at a far better price, reduce the amount of events, stick to the main commonwealth sports, over the years they have added Gymnastics and a few others that are expensive to stage and really not worth it.

Mate the Delhi games were a disaster financially and organization wise, they are hopeless organizers, KL had a very good games.

Regional Victoria was a stupid idea. Esp. as you have all the facilities ready to go in Melbourne, I remember the last Melbourne Comm. Games as a really great event. Still at a loss why Perth cannot host them we have all the facilities ready to go.

Comm Games are still the worlds biggest multi sporrt event after the Olympics, cannot see why they should not continue if Asia and Pan America Games do so.

Albo will be furious, another nail in the Voice referendum. He's just finished sorting the incompetent Mr Cook out re the now defunct WA indigenous heritage laws, now he has to try and sort Dan the man out. Good luck with that, Dan tops the tree for woke arrogance and lunacy. This might see a clean sweep of states voting No if the lefty Vicco's are able to see what Andrews has done and the incredibly devious deceitful way he's gone about it.
