Did anybody stay up and watch the Wimbledon Final?

It was an epic contest between the undisputed champion Djokovic and the new wonder kid Alceraz.

The Joker won the first set in a canter and it looked like another straight sets demolition but the young man fought back and took sets 2 and 3. Djokovic regrouped as you would expect to level the match at 2 sets all but Alceraz held his nerve and served out the 5th set.

Nearly 5 hours of high quality tennis and by the end of it it felt like a young gun was finally taking over the mantle from a guy who has won everything for a long time.

Djokovic is without doubt the greatest male tennis player ever but if he was wondering why crowds have never warmed to him, he should look at the replay of the game with a focus on his own behaviour particularly when the match was turning against him.
