This is just astonishing! His B sample has come back negative. Absolutely stoked for the bloke but now a few places or people have a few answers to provide and some apologies. We should never have been told about the "A" until the "B" was completed.

Most thought he was gone given EPO is taken via injection so hard to think his B sample was going to be negative.

Whoever leaked the story is no doubt in hiding and the damage caused to Peter's reputation as well. I hope anyone who jumped off him gets back on board (sponsor wise etc).

Not quite Viper. It came back with an atypical finding which is not the same as a negative and the authorities are still investigating...so he's not out of the woods just yet.

I agree, his A results should not have been made public until the the full and final results are available, otherwise certain groups including the media will hang him out to dry as has been the case.

It is interesting to read that two cases have been overturned due to the athletes managers stepping in and watching the results of the B sample being tested.
If I wre an athelete that was in the same position as Peter Bol, then I would be paying my manager double time tobe there with the testers of the B sample.
It smells very fishy.

I am no doctor, just wondering if EPO can occur naturally in the body? Or does it need to be injected? It seems odd that one sample is positive and question marks with the second. One would think both samples would be the same.

WAG ,yes one would think that. It would seem logical. But amazing that the two B sample tests were done under the noses of the athletes managers. All to make sure nothing untoward went on.
It makes you wonder just how serious the drug agency are about getting the truth. To me it seems their attitude is, don't waste time, their A sample was positive, just rubber stamp the B sample.

Yes the body produces EPO and different races can produce different levels too. Everyone is not the same. To get high levels of EPO it has to be injected though is my understanding.

My guess is that his body produces slightly higher levels so they said positive but it isn't really as high as if it was injected so they are at a loss as to if he is negative or positive.

I think the answer is in the fact that two managers took the time to actually be there and watch every step of the B sample being tested.
I wonder if more managers, agents, took the time to actually watch what would be the result.
All to easy for testers to just brush it off, even maybe at the behest of WADA.
It all stinks.
