I agree McBob.  It's not as though Woodside gets anything back for it in advertising or increased sales not being a retailer of gas.  They're just being good corporate citizens by sponsoring a local team the same as Gina, FMG, BHP and so on but if they're to get criticised as a result, t.e.f.e.

Thanks 58, interesting reading some of the comments, some think it's the FFC thats challenging the sponsorship, it's not, it's a small group pf numpties who crave some of the spotlight by selectively singling out one company and ignoring all the other companies that sponsor sport. I trust that the Freo board will follow the lead of netball Australia and gratefully continue to accept the support thats offered to them.

One very good comment was regarding that whingy bitch Cummins who wants to cancel Alinta but is happy to accept millions from the IPL who are sponsored by a raft of companies in a country thats the 3rd worse polluter in the world ... go figure.

Good on Freo for the decision to carry on the sponsorship. If there’s any over paid pampered sportspeople leading a woke whinge about this, hopefully they’ll be dragged into the coach’s office for heart to heart!!!!
