Interesting to see they are preparing the ground for East Freo to play their home games there for the next 2 years.  I must have missed the decision on this.

I wonder whether anyone will be allowed to sit in the Lillee Marsh stand or whether it will be exclusively for WACA members for the WAFL matches.

Had the radio turned on all week and not heard the story of East Frem  moving across there on news bulletins on any of the stations. Not unless this story being made public in the next day or three.

There was an article on 'thewest' online early yesterday (Thursday) penned by John Townshend regarding the East Fremantle move.

I think if the WACA and state government agree to name the proposed swimming pool Basils Pool the “Lord” Mayor of Perth will give it the green light. Did anyone watch that galling interview with the big snoz on the Sheyan show on 7 after the swimming finished with Andrew Gaze and Andy Maher?

They could barely get a word in as Basil was revelling in the praise and even after showing a replay of one his “great” calls he asked for it to be played again but longer and described how his “to become a legend you have to beat a legend” line was premeditated and thought of long ago.

Geez that guy loves drinking his own bath water. Didn’t finish there, I thought his head was going to fall off looking left and right as he was looking at Gazy to his right and Maher to his left then I think it Gazey said hey Basils talents don’t end there he is the Mayor of Perth. Basil had to correct him and say that’s right LORD Mayor of Perth. Lol 😝

Just loved how he and the City of Perth were snubbed for the WACA announcement due to their refusal to pitch in for the maintenance and servicing of the new public pool at the WACA.

Good result for EF to play their home games there, now makes sense for Perth to do the same if they are unable to remain at Lathlain during their redev. Games played their each week with early and late season games under lights.

Lucky my names not Millsy and I don’t work in radio. I don’t know how Millsy used to put up with his interruptions and putting words in his mouth all the time. I would have broken that big snoz and flattened him.

Looks like the pool is going to get the green light and the nod of approval from his lordship Basil after the state government has agreed to a one off payment of 25 million as opposed to the City of Perth copping the ongoing annual maintenance costs.

So that means all tax payers pay for the maintenance of the swimming pool for the residents of the city of Perth. Great deal for City of Perth. Hopefully a deal like will follow for the City of Swan so my rates can come down for the costs of running Swan Active Midland.

Maybe Big Nose is smarter than we all think after getting that deal.
